I remember walking into Grade 8 and looking at the seating arrangement of our class, and seeing that name sat next to mine: Rayan Hariz. I ended up meeting one of my closest friends that I would have for the rest of my school years. We bonded over little stick figures that we would draw in our books and silly youtube videos we would watch at home… and with time we ended up hanging out every lunch break and spent the entire time around one another making each other laugh. There are countless memories we made at school together but I’ll always remember Rayan making me laugh with his happy spirit and joyful personality. He was a brother to me. He would watch out for me and help me out in whatever way he could, and he always had the biggest heart. He had a great capacity for loving those around him. From getting yelled at by Mrs Samara for laughing in class to showing each other the comics we drew up in art class, he was a bright light of joy and excitement in school. He was a great friend, an amazing brother and the best son anyone could ask for. Till next time Rayan. ❤️
